POSITION PROFILE:
Provides administrative, secretarial, and clerical support for the Vice-President, Secretary & General Counsel & the Assistant General Counsel.  Provides clerical support for the preparation of asset purchase agreements, real estate purchase agreements, the review of title reports and policies, assists with due diligence matters and assists with the review of property records, etc.  Performs other miscellaneous tasks with regard to corporate matters.  Types, proofreads, and revises legal documents, agreements, correspondence, inter-office memorandums, and reports.  Performs other miscellaneous secretarial and clerical duties as directed.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  1. Requires high school diploma or GED.  Additional business/secretarial training preferred. 
  2. Must have work experience that demonstrates an ability to produce error-free, professional-looking correspondence, documents, etc., under time constraints. 
  3. Must have a minimum of five years previous secretarial and clerical work experience with preference given to prior law office experience. 
  4. Previous work history must demonstrate thoroughness, attention to details, neatness, and accuracy in work habits. 
  5. Must possess good written and oral communication skills.  
  6. Must be able to operate dictation equipment, calculator, typewriter, fax machine, and personal computer using Microsoft Windows-based word processing, database, and spreadsheet software (preferably Word, Access and Excel). 
  7. Past work experience must demonstrate ability to work with and be trusted with confidential data.
  8. Must be able to handle public and corporate contacts in a friendly, courteous manner.
