The Westervelt Company A native of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Alicia received bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and sociology, with a minor in physics, from Thiel College. She has over 20 years experience in the packaging industry including 13 years with The Westervelt Company (then known as Gulf States Paper Corporation) and eight years in various packaging positions with H.J. Heinz Company and Campbell’s Soup. Career SummaryAlicia joined The Westervelt Company in 1993 as Manager of Product Development for the Packaging Division. In 1997, she assumed the role of Business Development Manager for Pulp & Paperboard, and in1998, she was promoted to Business Services Manager for Pulp and Paperboard. In 2000, she was named as Business Solutions Group Director, which incorporated responsibility for corporate services including Strategy and Planning. In 2001, she was named Vice President, Process Improvement—a position that required leading our transition to a process focused organization and overall responsibility of our six sigma efforts. From 2003 – 2005 she served as Business Leader for Specialty Products, which consisted of a joint venture with Dopaco/Cascades (GSD), as well as management of our wholly-owned subsidiaries Livingston Box, and Resolution Packaging. She assumed her current role as Vice President, Business Development, in 2005. She serves as Business Leader for Westervelt Ecological Services, Westervelt Realty, and the Recreation division. Alicia is married with a teenage daughter and enjoys boating and outdoor recreation.
