GLAZEBROOK STATION ADDED TO WESTERVELT SPORTING LODGE NETWORK

Tuscaloosa, Ala. -- The rugged upper catchment of the Waihopai River in Marlborough on New Zealand’s South Island, where the land rises up to more than 2000 meters, is the setting for Glazebrook Station, Westervelt Sporting Lodge Network’s (WSLN) newest hunting and fishing location.

Red stag and fallow deer freely roam the snow-covered peaks and valleys of this 25,000 acre high country cattle station, which will open for hunting in March, 2007.

“Individuals seeking an authentic New Zealand High Country hunting experience won’t be disappointed when visiting Glazebrook Station,” said Kevin McKinstry, WSLN Manager.  “This property has never been open to the public for hunting.”

An hour-long drive from the Blenheim airport, where guests are met by Glazebrook Station guides, winds through the lush vineyards of New Zealand’s renowned wine country.  Upon arrival, a private lodge offers the warm comforts of home, with private chalets with adjoining bathrooms serving as guest quarters.

All hunts are fully guided, and other activities such as trekking via horseback, fishing, or helicopter tours can be arranged.

Glazebrook Station will be available for booking through Kiwi Safaris NZ, which has a diverse portfolio of hunting properties in New Zealand.

“We are proud to own this amazing property in New Zealand, and are eager to share it,” McKinstry said.
